[Aug 27th 2016, 9:43pm] Ray: A warm welcome Iris, and sorry for the delay. It's great that you have a team to play with the project. Each member who will contribute will need to register in Pootle, our translation-assist app, and carefully follow the instructions on the front page to select your language and the TVP site project. Once each of you "save" your selections, Pootle will alert me to connect them with the project. You'll find Pootle at

[Aug 23rd 2016, 4:15pm] zedom: Hey iris.yim I don't have a specific time to come here, I just come sporadically when I can. I guess this will be the case for others too!

[Aug 22nd 2016, 6:33pm] iris.yim: and by the way what time in UTC are you guys are mostly online if I may ask? :)

[Aug 22nd 2016, 6:33pm] iris.yim: Hello LTI, awesome to be here, I am from Philippines and we got a local team of advocates here who wishes to help translate the TVP website to our local language - Filipino/Tagalog

[Aug 18th 2016, 1:49am] Mr_Z: OK thx zedom, that's two votes for and none against. Anyone else?

[Aug 17th 2016, 10:21pm] zedom: Same as ossi here

[Aug 16th 2016, 11:01pm] Mr_Z: Thanks for that feedback ossi! Anyone else?

[Aug 16th 2016, 9:39pm] ossi11111: And we try to split the lines so that they are pretty equally in length (if it does not hinder the reading comfort by splitting in strange places).

[Aug 16th 2016, 9:38pm] ossi11111: That's why we are using linebreaks for quite a while in German subtitles now.

[Aug 16th 2016, 9:37pm] ossi11111: As far as we experienced in the German team the linebreaks neither help nor hinder the translation. But it helps the audience to read the subtitles faster.

[Aug 15th 2016, 11:54pm] Mr_Z: Please reply with YOUR FEEDBACK on this new linebreak format, in particular if you feel it hinders your translation efforts in any way. Thanks!

[Aug 15th 2016, 11:53pm] Mr_Z: The 5 Open test vids with linebreaks are: 1)JF: Environment Shapes Behavior, 2)Nate Dinwiddie: TVP Archives, 3) JF: UN NOVUS Summit award, 4) JF on RT: Attaining Sustainability, 5) JF: Good and Evil.

[Aug 15th 2016, 11:41pm] Mr_Z: TO ALL TRANSLATORS - PLEASE READ THIS! We are trying something new in the English Dept with the English mastered subs, called LINEBREAKS.

[Aug 4th 2016, 5:38pm] oxygenbarker: Ok. I found the Swedes :) They're still active!

[Jul 17th 2016, 10:41pm] oxygenbarker: Man, I've tried more than that already! So far their status is unknown. And the only label I can put on them is "non-responsive".
