Peter Joseph: Where are we now? - Translations are now reopened

As part of our final proofreading projects, the"where are we now" video will be reopened for transcriptions, which means that you won't have access to your translations. This will allow us to adjust the English subtitles according to the Linguistic Team Guidelines.

This will result in your translations losing their synchronization with the original transcription, which means that teams that already completed translations for this video will have to go through them one more time.

Hugs from the English team. :)

This video is now open for translations

Bruno, j'ai traduit le texte de cette vidéo à l'automne 2009. Elle figure même sur le site francophone du mouvement et j'apprends que tu proposes à des gens de faire un travail qui a déjà été fait ! Et comment se fait-il que moi, le premier concerné, n'aie pas été mis au courant ? Décidément, il est grand temps que nous programmions une réunion sur Teamspeak pour remettre les pendules à l'heure.

hehehe! I know what you mean, Eric. I also forget where I am and speak in Portuguese when my emotions come up :D
Can you please consider reformulating your post here in English, so that everyone to whom this project concerns can participate? ;)

hugs,

I translated "Where are we know ?" during the autumn 2009. You can see the video in the french website of the MZ :

http://presentation.mouvement-zeitgeist.fr/conferences.html

Therefore, I don't understand why Bruno ask people to translate the text of this video into french. This work has already been done.

A little clarification : the thread you're posting in is a special kind of thread. It's an announcement, which is meant to be shown in multiple forums at once, so that a maximum of people are aware of whatever it is that we're announcing. It is meant not just for the French team, but for any teams I chose to include when I first posted it. In that case, I think I've chosen all the teams that had at least started to translate the video.

As for the French translation, it is up for French proofreading, even though I realize I haven't even posted anything about it in the French subforum. I've adjusted your translation to the new timestamps and tried to make it so that all strings would fit within 2 lines. And that is why this translation needs another round of proofreading, because I probably made some mistakes when I made the adjustments in the translation.

I hope this helps clarify things.

If I have understood you well, the actual Vimeo video of "Where are we know ?" will be replaced by another video. We have to talk about it.

By the way, you have not answered to my email concerning the programming of a Teamspeak meeting in order to change the regulation of the french team of linguistic. Cooperation should be the key value of this team, but for the time being this value is trampled in this team.

The only place where we post videos for which I have administrative rights are the LTI Channel and the French ling team channel. The rest is out of my purview.

As for the meeting, I've organized meetings for weeks without any attendance. I think given the little amount of people involved, a written statement containing some proposals would be more efficient. It would be posted in the General discussions subforum.

Hi,

I'm starting to review the synchronization for brazilian portuguese.

edit:
still working on that. Idk if it was because of the process Bruno made, but after 10 minutes there is little or no translation at all. So I'm having to translate the video all over again.

edit2:
Ok, translation to brazilian portuguese is complete.
