Translators/proofreaders
First off, if you'd like to take part of a language team as a translator or a proofreader, you can contact your language coordinator. Language coordinators are there basically to help you with everything you need to start working with the team, they can answer nearly all your questions, give you access to our collaborative tools, and otherwise help you any way they can.

So to introduce yourself to the team and its coordinator, or to just make contact with a language team, post to that Team's relevant "Introduce Yourself" or "Questions, Info, etc." boards. While you're waiting for a reply, look over the team's "Current Projects" board, as well as the master list of all videos currently open for translation by all teams. You can then let your coordinator know that you're interested in a particular project, and we'll answer your questions, should you have any. If you do not receive a response within a couple of days, simply PM Ray for assistance.

English transcribers/proofreaders for videos
If you're looking forward to participating in the transcription process, the first thing to do is to check the linguistic team guidelines, which will help you understand what we do and why we do it this way.

You can then take a look at the master list of all videos currently open for transcription by the English Dep't to figure out which one you'd like to start with. You can then let the English Dep't coordinator know that you're interested in a particular project, and we'll answer your questions, should you have any.


The LTI Tech Team
Given the fact that we have so many materials to distribute, we have to be able to, well.. distribute it! That entails having some technical skills which would help us to accomplish tasks such as making appealing graphics for DVD menus or our video content, making ISO files of our materials, editing/splicing/merging videos to be made available for the transcription team, etc..
