Introduce my self

My name is Naomi Fuller and I joined the International
Linguistic Team on this month, after discussions
with and recommendation from Roxanne.

My goal is to translate the English subtitles of the DVD “Paradise
or Oblivion” into Japanese. This mission I will do with great determination, as
I wish it bring the knowledge of the Venus Project and the concept of a
Resource Based Economy to the Japanese public. Hopefully this concept will
become a new “Rising Sun” philosophy in the minds of many Japanese people and
will completely re focus their minds along a different pathway of economic and
resource management. Only then can positive change occur.

Yours sincerely,

Naomi Fuller

Greetings Naomi! And welcome to the family.

Several things. First, the Japanese Team portal is here , although it seems to be vacant, so you can own it and start a new Topic or two.

Second, good news, it appears that Paradise or Oblivion is already translated into Japanese, among many other languages. See the Video's working location in dotsub, the link is in its Open page here . That said, I noticed it is not pushed out to the official TVP copy here ; perhaps @Ray: could correct that.

Finally, in case you don't have a dotsub account yet, I have attached a copy of the Japanese SRT for your smoking pleasure.

Sincerely

Welcome, Naomi! Great to have you here.

Paradise or Oblivion appears to be either finished, or very close to it, as you will be able to see by reading through the master Japanese thread for the project. Gentsanc has already given it one 'vote' as completed, but when a team does not have a dedicated coordinator, I prefer to hear that from multiple translators (since I do not speak Japanese, there is no way that I can tell).

[Japanese] Paradise or Oblivion

If you wish to check its progress and let me know if you also feel it's ready, or you might find something that requires some adjustments, PM me and I'll be happy to guide you into the project. :)
