577 Ray Hey all of you Awesome Peeps (that's 'people', for anyone who does not recognize the English slang ^^ ) : After much wrestling, wrangling, coaxing, crying and begging (slight exaggerations intended), the new Pootle is finally re-opened. While previous bugs are now gone, there are also some really nice improvements in this version, so check out the forum post describing some of those. Enjoy! http://forum.linguisticteam.org/board2-l…to-version-2-5/ Jan 31st 2013, 12:12pm
576 Ray Pootle is no longer being prepped on a separate server space; it was moved into position less than 12 hours ago and we're running it through some final tests before removing the lock on the door. Jan 30th 2013, 8:55pm
575 Pandalaft Is there any update on the status of Pootle? Jan 30th 2013, 5:41pm
574 Ray Apologies for the new Pootle unveiling delay. We've learned that "a day or two" is simply not enough time to reintegrate all of the customizations that everyone is now accustomed to having available within Pootle. So, Borislav (Lizardman) is taking advantage of the delay by removing several outdated projects and, due to multiple requests from translators, expanding the new "ZM Orientation 2012" into individual articles to make it easier to separate them for use with a future TZM video project (effectively replacing the original "Orientation Presentation" companion lecture video). Yay! I'm now leery of stating yet another confident 'prediction' for when Pootle will be ready for re-launch, so let's just say that it's very close to "ready for Prime Time" and that we appreciate everyone's awesome patience & understanding with the previous delays. Jan 26th 2013, 10:56am
572 Ray At this point, the new Pootle is almost ready. We expect maybe a day or two of testing to make sure nothing is broke and at least some of LTI's customizations are in place and operational. Once we're happy with full functionality test results, the curtain will be removed from the front end and everyone can Ooo & Ahhh at the 'new car smell'. ^^ Jan 18th 2013, 10:06pm
571 Ray I just removed the bit.ly module that has been automatically converting URLs to short ones. The purpose in adding it was to give everyone much shorter links to post outside of the forum. Unfortunately, it was also converting all other URLs, which makes it too hard for everyone to know what's being shared with them. Hopefully, we'll eventually find a module that allows us to target just the long internal links, leaving the rest alone. In the meantime, consider using free services like TinyURL and others before posting long forum links in places like Facebook, Google+, etc.. ;) Jan 17th 2013, 6:17pm
570 Ray Welcome to the family, Justin & Jonny! Jan 17th 2013, 6:13pm
