TEXTER, DEUTSCHLEHRER, ÜBERSETZER, JOURNALISTEN u.ä. SPRACHKENNER DRINGEND GESUCHT
fürs Korrekturlesen der Erstübersetzung von Jacque Fresco, The Best That Money Can't Buy, Beyond Politics, Poverty, & War

state of project October 2015

We've been at work since July 2013. Back then, progress was so rapid that we thought we could finish in 2015.
With dwindling participation in 2015, however, this seems unreachable at the moment.
But if one or two experienced second-proofers could help out ... (see below, also previous posts)

Currently, we have a lot of open second proofs.

Waiting for 2nd proof: 22 sheets - I will do two of these.
I cannot do more here, because I already did 20 first proofs of these.
And the three-person rule states that translator, first proofer, and second proofer must be different.

In 2nd proof: 10 sheets
In 1st proof: 1 sheet
In 1st translation: 1 sheet
Waiting for 1st translation: 1 special sheet

Ready for final proof: 17 sheets (32.7%)

Please help: Contact Ray Gman first for clearance

state of project Janaury 2015

All first translations and first proofs are done. Except for the
contents which depend on the final proof of the chapter headings.
So now we have a lot of open second proofs.

If one or two experienced second-proofers (German native speakers) could help out, this would speed up work by a factor of two or three.
Since the first proofs are in satisfactory to good states, we might finish the book this year - if we get help ... (see below, also previous posts)

Waiting for 2nd proof: 27 sheets - I will do 3 of these.

I cannot do more here, because I already did 21 first proofs of these.

And the three-person rule states that translator, first proofer, and second proofer must be different.

Currently in 2nd proof: 5 sheets

Waiting for 1st translation: content page

Ready for final proof: 22 sheets (42.3%) Three of these have yet to be discussed in teamspeak.

PLEASE HELP: Contact Ray Gman first for clearance

state of project March 2016

TBTMCB: milestone in translation reached!
After almost three years, all first proofs and about 60% of the second proofs are done.

(except for sheet 0, the contents, which come last, when the headlines are agreed upon)

Overall, there are 52 sheets of which
30 are second-proofed, 23 of these are fully proofed which means dicussed in teamspeak, 7 still have points to discuss
2 second proofs are in work by Torch
18 sheets await a second proof - because I did too many first proofs, I am not allowed to do any of these remaining second proofs.

Your fresh views as second proofer (German-native speaker) are needed.

Get in contact with Ray, if you can help. He will inform me and I will assign a worksheet to you.
Edit by Ray to Tim:: Please do not direct anyone to anyone but me for this project. All volunteers must submit the NDA form before they can be provided access to this project.
