Introducing myself

Hello everyone!

I saw in the thread "Introduce Yourself" on the main page that it's better to "locate your Language Team's forum section and introduce yourself there", so here I am!
I grew up in New York, but have been living in France for the past 15 years, so I'm fluent in both languages, although I'd say that French is my mother tongue. Also, I have recently completed a translations studies degree (licence de traduction) and am looking for an opportunity to start translating "for real".
I was very excited when I discovered The Venus Project and would be delighted to be part of the translation team! I believe I saw that you're currently busy with the second half of "The Choice is Ours", which is exactly the kind of work I'm looking for (if possible).

Also, I hope that all of you had a happy winter holiday and New Year!

PS: Feel free to respond in french if you prefer :)

Hello Emilie, welcome to the linguistic team!

My first piece of advice would be to make sure you're kept up to date with all things linguistic team by joining our facebook group. If you see activities/ideas/discussions you like, feel free to partake :)

Also, best of luck for your career as a translator!

Hugs :bighug:

Done! Thanks for the fb page :)
I went ahead and signed up for the "The Choice is Ours" project, although I'm half delighted half sad to see it's almost over!

If there is any way I can contact someone directly to get a quick Q&A done about the LTI methods and techniques, I would be most grateful! The forum is... huge, and I'm afraid I might get lost searching :D

Thank you for responding so quickly!
