The Venus Project - Designing the Future (World Lecture Tour Edition)

"This brief video will outline a vision designed to avoid old mistakes. A vision of efficiency, sustainability and intelligent planing that can lead us to a marvelous new world of unlimited human potential." This simple introduction taken from the video itself is enough to tell why we are making efforts to translate it. ( 12:36 )

Working Location :stop: STOP!! Proofreading Notes

UPDATE: THERE IS HIGHER QUALITY VERSION OF DESIGNING THE FUTURE THAT TVP USED IN THE WORLD LECTURE TOUR. WE UPLOADED THAT NEW VERSION AND TRANSFERED ALL THE TRANSLATIONS INTO THE NEW LOCATION. MANY TEAMS STILL NEED TO PROOFREAD THEIR TRANSLATIONS SINCE THEY WERE TIMESHIFTED (ARE NOT SYNCHRONIZED WITH THE VIDEO ANYMORE). THE DOTSUB WORKING LOCATION WORKS FINE FOR THIS BUT THE EASIEST WAY TO PROOFREAD AND SYNCH YOUR TRANSLATIONS AT THE SAME TIME IS WITH GOOGLE DOCS. HERE IS A
TUTORIAL FROM BRUNO THAT WILL HELP

Timeshifting of "Designing the Future" is done!! 8o
I did it offline with VisualSubSync and in the end I applied the same timings to the translations SRTs and reuploaded everything to the dotsub link again. Because of this, it is all out of sync for the other languages, there are strings merged and split, some comas added and others removed, and the 1st string was built from scratch. So...
as carl Sagan said on one of his Cosmos episodes: "If you wish to make a subtitle string from scratch, first you'll have to invent the Universe":kewl: Or maybe it was not a subtitle string but an apple pie, I am not sure now. So...

Proofreaders from the following languages already on the video (Arabic, Estonian, French, Portuguese_Brazil, Portuguese_Portugal, Romanian and Spanish), BE AWARE!! After a final review by our most finest English Proofreaders, this super video awaits to be proofread by YOU.
:dunno: (Who? Me? mmh Ok. But... where are all the "occupy" folks?)

:idolize: (mmmhh...Who is the guy with the hat?) (psst! you know what's an RBE?)

PoInK?

:dunno:

Am I confused? This one was altered during timeshifting and only needs proofread for languages other than English?!?

Oh, I see it needs Final in English. Got it.

I've done this piece before but it was in a longer talk with Jacque (can't remember the name of it though) in front of a live audience.... I'm a little confused...

Exactly Julie! the video you did was "Jacque Fresco - Global Sustainability" at the Univ.of Michigan and they showed this video to the audience.
This is one that is a priority for TVP to be translated. It is one of their best presentations and highly distributed to the public. After the final review we will have to remind all translations teams of the importance of they comming back to the video and sync their translations to it. Georgy made a special tool that will help all translations teams to have their task eased

Wait a sec - here it's listed as final review but in the wiki it's PR2.... And as far as I can make out of the info here in the thread it's needing a R2 so I'll go over it xx
