Do we really need to move all videos to the repository ?

Hello people ,

I'm working on new features for the PMS and I was wondering the following: do we really need to move all finished videos to the dotSUB repository ?
This is an administrative activity that involves two tasks :
- Creating a ToDo for the video;
- Move the video to the repository and make the necessary updates.

I thing it's to much work, not to say it's a boring job. I really do not believe that the people involved in this type of work will want to do this for a long time .
I believe that by doing so we are running away from what really LTI does best: to translate and improve the language skills of its members .

The main objective of the PMS is to organize activities that we developed and now I realize that this tool should ONLY be used by coordinators .
Why ? Because only they have an interest in it . The average member just wants to translate.

I think we have to be more lazy and make things simpler .

We lost a lot of time thinking about " getting more and more members". I believe that this only reflects our inability to work things out with only a few people.

I need some feedback on it because I want to start coding new features for the PMS as soon as possible.
The biggest question is: what process can we leave aside to make things easier?

Awesome post, Michael!

This was discussed before and the result was that we would start using the youtube locations as a repository. It is not that easy decision to make because we don't know how these tools are going to develop in the future. That is why it is important not to close the doors behind our backs - that is, it's better to always have the possibility to switch back to dotsub for the repo locations if need be.

Project Management System

That's the tool we use to manage all translations. It's used to register and organize everything we have translated.
