Sziasztok! Greetings from Hungary

Hello everyone!

I am Zoltan from Hungary and i want to join this community. I am 26 years old, I studied BSc in Information Technology at university.
In my country our goverment robs us, we become poorer and poorer every year.
I really like this project and i want to do something, i want to participate.

I started to learn English at high school. I read a lot in English, and i want to improve it day by day. I think translating is a good way to do that, especially if i do it for the good cause.

So... tell me where to start :)

Best regards,
Zoltan

Welcome on board, Zoltan. The first thing you should do is contact the hungarian team's co-ordinator. You can find him here: http://wiki.linguisticteam.org/w/Categor…ge_Coordinators . He will guide you and will probably solve any questions you have so that you can get started "on this project", as you called it. If you need anything else, feel free to ask, of course. Get familiar with the forum and soon you will have more answers. Have fun!

HI Zoltan!! :)
Here is where you can start, in case Eniko or Palioz don't reply to you in the contact that Jimmy shared:

- I find it very helpful when people communicate in all fronts, and then everyone can synchronize efforts, not repeat them, and enjoy the worldaround collaboration ;) So, post in the Hungarian forum section whenever you will start a project, wish to start or have doubts or when you finish a translation: http://forum.linguisticteam.org/board2-l…hungarian-team/

- If you don't find any project of interest in the Hungarian section, here is where you can find projects:
http://forum.linguisticteam.org/board2-l…-english-dep-t/
That is where all projects are, one in each forum thread. Not the easiest way to find a specific project that you have in mind, though. For that type of search, use rather:
*this table, for videos: http://wiki.linguisticteam.org/w/Linguis…a_Center/Videos
*this translation platform for text materials: http://pootle.linguisticteam.org/

If you wish to help translating the book from Jacque Fresco "The Best That Money Can't Buy", send an email to Ray (gmanzm@gmail.com) and he will reply with instructions

Hope you have fun around here. Ask anything you need :seymour:

Hey mate. First of all you have to register in DotSub. Then, you can go on any video you want to translate and choose the hungarian language in the right of your screen where there is a frame named "translate or transcribe". Now, I think you should talk to Ray or Nomada about not reaching anyone from the Hungarian group. It is important to find your team so that your efforts are organised. If you need any help, just shout to me :)

Exactly. And here is a better way to see all projects and find the 'forum thread' and the 'working location' for each of them: http://wiki.linguisticteam.org/w/Linguis…a_Center/Videos

About being in contact other the Hungarian volunteers, start by posting about everything you do or wish to do, in the Hungarian forum section http://forum.linguisticteam.org/board2-l…hungarian-team/
if everyone does so, things will get easier in collaboration ;)

Maybe you can share what you do in this group too; maybe you will find some more volunteers there: https://www.facebook.com/zeitgeisthungary

Here is a list where you can find the profiles of forum members who registered with Hungarian as the language choice. Quite a lot!! 8o
http://forum.linguisticteam.org/index.ph…der=ASC&letter=
Feel free to contact them.

Any help with getting started with dotsub? just beep
