Greetz from the Netherlands (Holland)

Hi all,

Here's my little introduction to the LTI Community. I'm very interested in learning more about TVP, RBE and TZM and want to enable more Dutch people to learn more as well, so I'd be very happy to help in translating etc.

My interests are in technology, psychology, parenting (although I'm no parent), education, root cause thinking and learning in a wide range of topics.

I sympathize with all the people that voluntarily spend their time to help spread the knowledge and am happy to join this team!

Best regards,
Ringo

Hi Ringo! Your introduction text fits perfectly the curriculum. I also totally relate to what you said.Maybe we should take this text and make the promotion of the need for volunteers in LTI out of it :D

What do you know already about the LTI? Have any preferences on any material to start with?

Translation platforms for most projects (register on them to be able to get started):
http://dotsub.com/user/tzmofficial for video subtitles
http://pootle.linguisticteam.org/ for text materials

The suggested place to communicate about the projects on Dutch translations:
http://forum.linguisticteam.org/board2-language-team-playgrounds/board18-nederlands-dutch-team/

Where to find projects open for translation:
http://forum.linguisticteam.org/board2-language-team-playgrounds/board215-open-for-translation-completed-by-english-dep-t/

and this is already a lot to play. Let me know whenever you have any questions. I would love to guide you step by step if you need, as what seems obvious to me for being around for a while might not be for you. I tend to forget that and throw all the links at once :D No worries. There is a lot of people around. Just ask whatever you need.

How did you find the Ling.Team?
hugs

Hi nomada,

Thanks for the warm welcome and all the info.

I'll make sure to get the necessary tools and to introduce myself to the Dutch team.

I don't know that much about the LTI yet, I was thinking of starting big and translating "The Best that Money Can't Buy 6th Edition" but I couldn't find where to start and that project seems finished...?

I found the Linguistic Team through links on the TVP forum but first heard of it in one of the TVPEducation seminars on their TVPEducation Youtube channel.

Greetz!

Hi! : ) cool news!!
I don't know that much about the LTI yet, I was thinking of starting big and translating "The Best that Money Can't Buy 6th Edition" but I couldn't find where to start and that project seems finished...? Send an email to Ray and he is the one integrating new volunteers in the project and giving access to the sheets of the Dutch team, I think. There wasn't, probably, no one who volunteered to do that, and as with other languages, Ray is coordinating the project. I a translating, proofreading and coordinating this project in Portuguese from Portugal and sometimes helping Ray on other languages.

TVP seems to be the 'platform' where the LTI is best promoted, but still very lttle to what could be done. If you wish to help on this too, check this thread. (You can add threads to your favorites, in the bottom right of the pages, and so be notified when there are changes):

Have fun ; )
