Hello ;)

I'm João, from Portugal. I am no professional in this area but I do like
linguistics in general, and I have what you may consider a very
reasonable level of comprehension of english. I can transcribe and
translate (maybe a bit roughly, but I don't think that, personally) from
English to Portuguese whenever I have time. Plus, I think I can also
translate Portuguese-English, but I'm sure it'd not be as good as
from English.

Welcome aboard. We are glad you are here and willing to help. We appreciate that very much. :)
You probably want to speak to @nomada: because he is more familiar with the Portuguese team. He is informed and will show up here soon. He will tell you how to start.
@Ray: could help you too. He is also informed. However it might take until tomorrow till he shows up.
So please stay patient. We took notice of you. ;)

You're hired! :seymour: You brought a pen? it won't be needed. Everything is translated in online platforms and it is much funnier than school :D
Cool that you met ossi already. This is a multilanguage collaboration for changing the world, and everyone does what they find useful and what they have fun with. And that is all I need to know in order to help you get started: Anything specific you would like to translate? Let us know in the Portuguese forum section, where some projects are already available, and by doing so you will be letting the other portuguese volunteers know you arrived ^^

Me, or whoever is online at the moment, will guide you from there when we see your post.

see ya soon ; )
