TVP's "Paradise or Oblivion"

Hi Folks,
The "Paradise or Oblivion" translation project is almost ready to begin. The first step is an initial English Proofreading of the original transcript, so English Proofreading Team members are highly encouraged to jump in, too.

One awesome new development is that the public release date is being pushed forward to give us at least a couple of weeks to get everything done, one the transcript clears English proofreading.
On another note, this will be a pure "text to text" translation handled within Google spreadsheets, again, similarly to how we handled ZMF.

As mentioned before (and similar to our previous ZMF translate-a-thon), this one requires everyone involved to agree to a simple non-disclosure agreement (NDA) to ensure that the content stays out of the 'public eye' until its official public release.

To join the fun, send an email to PoO.Translations@gmail.com using whatever email account you would normally use with Google Documents. Be sure to indicate what language you want to translate it into, so the resulting teams can be brought together without any chance of senseless duplication of efforts. I will then send you back the NDA to electronically 'sign' and return to me. As soon as I receive/confirm your signed agreement, you will be added to the list of qualified translators and will be made aware as soon as the project is ready to rock. Like most materials we get to play with, the source transcription will be in English.

Much Love & Respect to all,
Ray

Just a quick update on this:

The transcription is currently in the capable hands of the English Team volunteers and its proofreading is nearly half way completed already. As soon as they are done and the transcript is re-prepped for translation (adjustments to the number of lines per page), it will be shared with each of the Language Coordinators of the participating Language Teams. I suspect perhaps two days until then, but it could stretch beyond.

There are currently 62 confirmed volunteers across 24 represented languages, with some of the teams going all out to get this done (i.e. many volunteers).

For those who may be wondering if you are needed for this project, here is a list of represented languages that could use some more volunteers to help them meet the deadline. I will update this post's info as the project develops.

Arabic
Czech
Croatian
Dutch
Estonian
German
Hebrew
Hindi
Hungarian
Lithuanian
Marathi
Mongolian
Norwegian
Persian/Farsi
Polish
Portuguese
Romanian
Serbian

Still awaiting the NDA confirmation of their Coordinator:
Arabic
Dutch
German
Hebrew
Hindi
Hungarian
Marathi
Mongolian
Norwegian

Surprisingly missing in action:
Afrikaans
Chinese (Taiwan)
Greek
Macedonian
Montenegrin
Slovak
Swedish

Hi Jens!! : )
In the volunteers sheet, where we can see who has signed the Non-Disclosure Agreement, we see only Hans Heum there. Have you and the rest of the team already sent an email to PoO.Translations@gmail.com using whatever email account you would normally use with Google Documents? Only after Ray is warned by TVP that you signed the agreement, will he include everyone in the volunteers list so you receive the google sheets.

Hope this helps. Great to have you around

Better late than never, I've gathered around 10 people to do the Swedish translation and proofreading.

Looking forward to sink my teeth into this!
