How can i help?

Hello everyone!
I'd really like to help to translate videos or text into german, but i dont know how it works. I've already created a dotsub and a Pootle account, but who tells me what to translate and coordinates all the documents, proofreading and so on? Could someone introduce me? :)
Thanks!
Sam

Hi Sam,
Is there any material(s) in particular that you were hoping to help with? There are two coordinators focusing on different things, so your reply should help me know how to direct you. ^^

I think i could subtitle videos, DotSub looks pretty easy to use. :)
I came here because i saw the "The Best That Money Can't Buy" Translate-a-thon. TBTMCB isn't aviable in German as far as i know.(or not yet) So I'd really like to help translate this, too if there's still need for translators. It doesn't really matters what i can do, as long as i can help. :D

There is very much a need for translation help with TBTMCB, and there are also plenty of other materials in need of TLC (videos in dotSUB, as well as text-based items in Pootle, our collaborative text-translation program), so you've come to the right place. ^^

I've alerted Mario, who is managing the TBTMCB project. If you want to jump ahead of anyone first connecting with you, follow the instructions for requesting the NDA (non-disclosure agreement) in the first post of the TBTMCB thread. That email will come directly to me, so I'll be looking for it. As soon as that part is completed, I'll add you directly to the project.

Hi Sam,

I'm replying ... better late than never. ;)

Ray is right. We've got two main coordinators and even more project coordinators in our teams.
- Torch is coordinator of the Pootle-Team. (Translation of documents and websites)
- As already mentioned above one of our Marios is presently responsible for coordinating the German translation of TBTMCB.
- Another Mario is currently being introduced to the subtitling coordination (dotSUB), because as subtitling coordinator I temporarily retired. Nevertheless it's always better having a substitute. *thumbsup*

So, to make it short: get connected by emailing to "our dreamers". ;3

Thanks for all of your cooperation, may the access be with you! ^^
