Jacque Fresco - Mechanistics of Life (Scrolling Transcript Excerpt)

Previously titled “Science and Social Change”, this lecture covers a preliminary discussion of social change and child education. Jacque Fresco is primarily concerned here with the mechanistic conception of organic and inorganic phenomena while reviewing the works of George Washington Crile, Jacques Loeb, and Jagadish Chandra Bose. Jacque relates the mechanistic point of view to society, evolution, innovation, human behavior, and what people call “thinking” and “reasoning”. He additionally discusses tropisms, instincts, determinants of animal behavior, the interrelationship of interacting variables in causality, resident forces, purpose in nature, free will, and the definition of life.
