It was a pleasure Roddy! After reading it from the the screen bottom left (I usually proofread from the white boxes in Dotsub on the right, scrolling down as the piece goes along - it's much easier on the eyes and much easier for me to pick out misspelt or miswritten words) I noticed it was pretty fast yes. Please note that I also made adaptions of words if it was taking up more than the 1 line in the right section - I don't think all the changes will be made and I wanted to show examples of how we could make space if it was thought necessary...

Final Review is done!

Final Review by Di (2/19/2012)
Wow, what a great job! What a great Team effort on a difficult piece! 8o

This is what I have added in the notes:

PJ on RT: Money, Debt and RBE (2011-12-02) - Proofreading Notes (in red)

00:00.010
Who knew that the economic crisis was playing out so just markedly, with ??? - no idea what she's saying here - Mall Santas, Mal Santes, Maul Santez? - can't find anyting on Google, Michal had mall centres but it doesn't sound like she's saying that...
After giving this much deliberation and listening to what Lauren says in the context of the clip, I am 99 % sure she says, 'mall Santas'. This would be a reference to the Christmas Santa Claus mall frenzy of Black Friday about which she questions PJ in reference to the economic crises (Dec. 2011).

I am putting this phrase (mall Santas) in the English glossary with definition and documenting the source (RT Interview) for the translators. If anyone can come up with a better idea, just let the Team know what you think.

Otherwise, I made some edits to trim the subs, leaving out as many padding expressions as possible. Examples: in fact, so, of course... They do speak FAST in RT interviews, but we all know they've only got so much time to 'get it in'.

Oh, another thing about hyphens and change of speaker: I omitted the first hyphen when Lauren speaks because we can see her, and I omitted the hyphen when PJ responds to her because we can see him. Let me know if that's appropriate. All the rest, I left the same.

Love & hugs to all, :bighug:
Di

Yeah Di, it's really weird to say such a thing as a transition between reports, but yeah I don't see how this could be anything else than "mall santas" too.

The corrections were very nice too, anything to make the transcription lighter without losing meaning is aaaaawesome!
