NOW...It's done!

Okay, everyone (and especially, my Sweet Pea B),
NOW...it has a solid final review :nervous: and is READY :cheer: to be translated!

WARNINGs: Ben is fast as greased lightnin' and I've edited as much as possible, hoping to make it a bit easier in the translations.

One phrase is added to the English glossary and notepad: 'finger on the pulse'

Also, to those who proofed before me, here's what I noticed:

Recurring Errors Noticed in Ben McLeish’s Futurists, Technology, Cultural Lag

1. Use single quotes for titles, words, phrases
2. Omit colons and commas before direct quotations
3. Use hyphens in compound adjectives (example: present-day norms)

Good example of double/single quotes:
Let me ask you "What did you immediately think of when you saw and heard this phrase ‘We believe or call for a cybernated society’?”

When a word is used as a word in a sentence, single quotes are used. (See example below)
example: The word 'cybernated' sounds inherently dangerous, doesn't it?

But this doesn’t repeat whenever cybernated is used in sentences thereafter, unless it is still referred to as a word or a term.

Hope these insights might provide 'food for discussion' and 'path for improvements'.

Love to all (especially Sweet Pea B) :giggle: ,
Di :bighug:

Thank you for the comments, I'm not sure we paid really close attention to that quotes rule before, but now that it's anchored as a guideline, we'll be more consistent with it.

You're awesome Di, your participation in the final review process is soooo useful to the team!

I'm sending huge kisses to you, and I'm opening this bad boy for translations

oh, maybe the bad boy did want to leave this forum! it's scared of "being opened" for translations ... reminds of surgery and scalpel, and word transfusion :ahaha:

Thank you, English Team :lashes:

And another thread that was stolen by the German team. I am sorry even if I didn't take part in that criminal activity. ;)

Great that you are on top of that, ossi :D Seems good where it is now, indeed.

The option to move a thread is very near the option to create a copy and a sleepy person wishing to make a difference in the world can easily mistaken on that. Gladthat you are recovering those threads to their previous location ; )

hugs

PS - seems that you are well acquainted with all of this. If you wish to help with other stuff, am sure there is a need for help in several fronts, right now being done by very few people. And that might be the real cause for these type of mistakes. Anyway, all you have to do is keep your self around and aware of the needs and technical solutions for different stuff and you will catch up on how you can help. AndI am sure some fellows around here will appreciate hugely that extra hand.
