I'm actually adjusting the timestamps for the whole video while proofreading my own transcription.

From h1,m35 on I received help from somebody transcribing aswell so I'm checking this content now if it's fluently and good to read.

It's now set up so that only you and the main account have access to the transcription.
It will obviously need to be adjusted again once you are done. ;)

This project has a very carefully and accurate handmade transcription-file included now. There's lots of LOVE included aswell spending in hours creating it. ;)

I want you to please check these subtitles for mistakes and grammar errors as I did my best to avoid them while creating the transcript.

Please place all your change requests in this open pad as a new method to work more efficient Etherpad

timecode : it is: ...
timecode : it should: ...

[please note the full subtitle-line as a better way to understand the suggestion]

Note: I'm aware that I'm trying a new method here by using an open pad to collect as much error-reportings as possible. This is to make sure that there will be more attraction to the proofreading of these subtitles now to avoid a correction afterwards when they are officially published. Of course I'm still interested in and open for better methods.

I'd like to see at least two OKs of leaning back and carefully proofreading these new subtitles. :dance:

Thank you in advance for everyone helping to professionalize and finish this transcript.

I'm unsure if this is of any value to the project, but it's sure is a wonderful display/layout of the transcription.

This lecture's transcript in dotsub is done and carfully proofread by myself. Even the timestampadjustment is carefully made.

What this project just needs now, is an OK by at least two other people confirming this carefully work.

If there will be no one raising fingers within one month this project should be open for translation for I can stand for this result with my name.

Question stays if this lack of progress is the result out of too little participation or the methods we use.

I'm still very behind getting this lecture finished with a professional transcript. :)

I'm on it. It will take a while, because I have a few other things to do. :D
However, I am not that good in English, so somebody else needs to check the punctuation marks. I will probably overlook many mistakes also. :)
Whoever wants to participate also can do that right away in the collaborative pad and does not need to wait for me to finish.

What I already realized is that you have the tendency to make lines too long. This will cause problems when translating into other languages, because the screen is full of text then. I marked the very extreme ones in the pad.
Also you are inconsistent with your use of quotation marks. Sometimes you use ", ', “ or something completely else. You should do an automatic search over the whole document and use the same marks for the same type of quotation.
Offshore is either written "offshore" or "off-shore", but never "off shore". If it is a comparison you have to write "than" with an "a" instead of "then".

@FrankySnatra:
I am completely through now. You need to find another proofreader now who is a native speaker in the best case.
Please read the general points I was making in my last post. First of all you have some work to do for yourself now. :)

You cannot use the srt-tool by the way, because you did not create your pad using the tool.

official transcript completed now

Peter has completed the last two open and debatable lines.

00:54:51,100 --> 00:54:57,000
"stated" - but you can remove it to make better sense.
So: "it’s a 3,500 acre field with an annual generation of about one million megawatt hours."

01:33:33,300 --> 01:33:38,600
Should be:
"odds are the recycling facilities are actually built directly into the production facility"

So this transcript is completed now.

After various proofreading sessions this lecture is now open for translations.

Thanks to everyone helping here

This is the most viewed lecture on the TZM Youtube channel, how about we prioritize it?

We'll need two extra sets of eyes to get this done, so right now I'm winking super hard at @Mr_B: and @Di Anna: ;) ;) ;) to make it really obvious that I'm talking to them without having to say it :P
