Jacque Fresco in Stockholm - July 2010

Jacque Fresco of The Venus Project lectures in Stockholm, 2010. This has also been referred to as his "greatest lecture", although that may be rather difficult to prove. ^^ ( 41:59 )

Hi, all grammar-Nazis :) This project more likely has no dotsub link... it does now ;) ... yet as it was transcribed, translated and dubbed solely by Igor (Russian Team translator) and proofread in Russian by the team. Great job fellows!! Thank you for the great initiative!! 8) It requires serious time-shifting and final proofreading. Russian team ROCKS!! :luck:

I made some notes to correct the English subtitles as I went along: ... and bruno passed them from the youtube link where you were working them to the new DotSub working location linked here bellow :clown:

P.S. Apologies if I posted in the wrong section. This is the right section alright :cowpoke: I couldn't forgive you otherwise, as I am not religious. But for the same reason I would never be offended with you.  :ahaha: ok :eyeroll: next. :giggle:

this video is now also in the projects list/wiki table

huuuugs! and thank you for the lovely suggestion of video and the initiative of posting it here

Timeshifting complete.

I have to say there were too many short/long strings and it took a lot of time to "proofread" or restructure the subtitle text so they could be read more easily.

Please do not map the subtitles explicitly to what the person says -- Jacque makes a lot of pauses after every couple of words, but this does not mean to make all subtitles a couple of words, with a duration of a second and something.

Cheers,
Iskren :)

Update: PR2 is NOT complete, nor is this srt ready for PR2. Details below.

Although I did a first pass at proofreading and grammar cleanup and posted the (strictly interim) result, I quickly discovered moving onto the analysis phase that this srt is not ready for primetime PR2.

All in all the transcription was a fine job; thanks to all that contributed.

The timeshifting however appears only partially complete. Specifically, referring to the last section of the attached analysis dump, it has not been "gapped" to a min of 100-140 msec between many subs. In fact *no* gap exists in these cases, the typical next sub starts on the very next .001 sec, ie the next 1 msec, ie no gap. Clearly this is not ready for PR2 in this state.

In addition, from the analysis, many short strings are around 1.4~1.45 sec and as a result are flagged for being less than the min 1.5sec. If still able to maintain a fair sync to Jacque's voice, these subs should be bumped or 'stretched' the extra 50 or 100msec so they are in compliance. Same thing for the many sentences shown as 1.8~1.9sec. If these could be bumped just .1 or .2sec more, they also would be in compliance.

So I will be standing by awaiting an updated srt, so I can continue PR2. Again, whoever wishes to continue on this, please start with the interim srt file I pushed out the working location here, as it represents the latest revision. Thx.
