The Venus Project - Resource Based Economy - translation questions

Hi! i couldn't find systems operations in the glossary. Shall I add it?
Has anyone already questioned about this concept? Have you found a technical equivalent in your languages or you simply translate it literally?

Here is a context. "The Venus Project - Resource Based Economy" (video)

That means available materials: concrete, steel reinforcement, etc.

If the cities are near that source
00:04:32
00:04:36
then it becomes more efficient to design the cities
00:04:36
00:04:41
as systems operations, meaning that the city itself
00:04:41
00:04:45
must meet the needs of the people that live there.

Vixi took initiative to solve this doubt and posted it in the LTI Facebook, which I quote:
Unsure of how to translate "systems operations" we asked Jacque to explain further...and he did! :D

And if you have an agronomist on your island
or a series of them, they can advise you
as what is best to grow in that tropical region.

What is the meaning of "series of them"? A few agronomists or videos of an agronomist who is explaining what is the best to grow in a tropical region?

Not quite sure why he grabbed the word 'series' there, but he's talking about more than one human agronomist on the island with you.
