Did you know... ?

If you need to call someone's attention to a specific post you're making,
Start with the @ symbol, add their exact forum username and then finish it with a full colon. ( i.e. @username: )
As long as no spaces are included, they will receive notifications guiding them directly to the post.

3.4. Avatar

Avatar selection

The avatar is the image of a user. It can be a photo as well as an abstract icon. Other users will recognize you fast if you have an own avatar. Under Edit profile » Avatar you can choose your own personal image.

Here you can select an avatar from the list, if it was set by the administrator. The other possibility is that you upload your own avatar. Please note to check the size and file size of the avatar. There are normally limits set. You can use a gravatar as well. The service gravatar.com offers a central storage of an avatar. If you are active on many different pages it might be worth to use that service. If you need to change your avatar you just need to do this once to have it changed on each page where you use the gravatar. Your avatar will be displayed in your profile, next to messages and other places on that page.
