Thanks for the remind! I didn't remember it anymore ^^

I found it very good timeshifting. Strings in good size, split according to the speech flow and sentence grammar, not too short nor too long in display time. These are what has bigger impact in the viewer, I think. The rest is about "aesthetics", I dare to classify. But not so important technically for the reading and following of the video. If you use a tool with a sound wave graphic you can be so precise in the synchronization when the strings start and end that it will feel to he viewer as they are one with the video :D Meaning, they wont even notice/remember the subs are a different segment of it all (just as we never remember that the audio is something apart from the video, until a video shows up with a lag between them)
Some offline tools have this, like VisualSubSynch. Amara.org has a system of dragging the start and end of the subtitles which allows for precision with little effort, despite that there is no sound wave.

Hope this feedback helped in any way. Even that to assure you of the nice job you have done.Ready o go, I would say :thumbup:

Thank you very much. I am glad you liked it. There is always room to improve, but I will go for it as it is now. I'm very proud of my first finished transcript. :D

I'm a little confused as to the state of this video as in dotSUB the english subs aren't finished yet. It says 91%, the text looks complete however, but the transcription isn't closed to protect it....so how can there be subs in another language yet?

That's a little bit of magic that happens in our German team all the time. ;)
Actually we created the English and the German subtitles more or less at the same time in our team.

The reason why it is not released officially is that Ray plans to merge all video series that have several parts into one video each. So for this case it means that it is planned to merge depression 1 and 2 into one video about depression. To not create more work than necessary he did not release the transcript because he also has to merge the subtitles for all finished languages. But when we did the German subtitles we did not know about the special case here.

OK, resurrecting this project from last summer at the request of @Ray: I have good news and bad news.

Part 1. The good news is the part 1 subs (finalized and well translated here ) are OK, except for the very last subtitle ("By learning things that take you out of the old value system."), whose ending timestamp needs to be backed slightly from 00:15:27,899 to 00:15:26,500, to make room for the first sub of the second part being added. As this is only a single timestamp mod I think it would be relatively easy to do across the languages thus far, as no words are being changed.

Part 2: The bad news is that the original part 2 subs (which I was not part of) were basically a train wreck of many 71+ char lines and many 6+ second lines, so I completely reworked part 2 to clean this up, as shown by comparing the two "Part_2" analyses attached, before and after (It's like night and day). So I hope not too much time was invested by folks thus far on any prior part 2 floating around, as again, I have completely reworked it.

Regardless, the COMPLETE PR2-ed SRT file (containing both parts 1 and 2) is pushed out to the WL here , ready for FR. But again. FR needs only start at 15:26, as the first half has already been finalized, including PR2 by Mr_B and FR by @Di Anna:

To all:
There are a few more of these 'multi-part' projects that are being converted to single video projects, so the need to re-Final Review them and then triple check all existing translations will also come into play on those, as well. There's a lot more work to doing this than a normal English Dep't project, so they will very likely be handled one at a time, and not at a rapid pace.

This sounded illogical to me, I emailed TVP about it, and Roxe confirmed back that Jacque indeed meant No, hence my correction to the caption in the WL:
