A World Worth Imagining

This documentary gives a more personal insight into the origins and motivations of the man who could be described as the “Leonardo da Vinci of the 20th century”. In an intimate face-to-face, Jacque Fresco shares with S.O.U.L. founder Evan Gary Hirsch how he devoted his entire life to comprehensively designing a robust, workable tomorrow for our human family and planet. What could not have been known at the time was that this was to be Jacque’s final interview. In this half hour documentary, Jacque, who had just turned 101 years old(!), lets the audience see through his brilliant mind and into his compassionate heart, which was a fountain of overflowing love and respect for all living things and the precious Earth we call home.

After watching the full documentary, Jacque will leave you feeling as if you had just sat with your kind, loving grandfather who shared with you his life’s work. As he hands over the keys to solving society’s problems just before he passes, his hope is clearly that you will see his plans through to fruition for the benefit of all. As this passionate man obviously devoted his life to designing something much more nurturing, harmonious, and sustainable for humanity, it seems the least we can do for him, his legacy, and our future, is to see his designs move from conceptualization to realization. An ambitious choice!
Be sure to get yourself into the habit of taking a walking break at least every two hours, if not more often. Your legs, butt, heart, breathing, and especially your brain, will benefit greatly from it. I tend to use my breaks to get lots of little things done around the house. So in a way, translating or proofreading can be viewed as a break from keeping up on that stuff. ;)

Give me a yell if you bump into any questions along the way.

I couldn't wait and started yesterday :D I'll need though to reach some Polish fellows if I bump at words such as "extensionality" :D which are not easily translatable and will require some creative work.

ps. don't worry :) I am kind of a "sporty" girl and I do take walks and bicycle rides (away from people). I could never sit by the computer for hours... So in that regard it's kinda hard to get me sited for long period of time.

ps.2 Could you actually provide me with a definition in English one day, of this remarkable word extensionality? I mean how exactly Jacque understood that? Cause I kinda grasp the idea, sense it intuitively but a description of it would probably help me with finding the right word...or the right word-game :) To my mind it means "caring for another in a practical and tangible way instead of i.e. romantic "I love you"s or wanting the person to be the way I want him or her to be." So it's kind of what the love should be but the word "love" is already spoiled...and wage and we don't really know what it means. Am I anywhere close? Cause I know what extension means (well it has few overlapping meanings, as almost all the words in English:)) but if someone is an "extension" (al) to you, it means you should treat him/her as you would treat yourself or would like to be treated. Ok, no more linguistics for now:) But it really seems like one of the core concepts to be understood. Maybe some Polish folk has already dealt with it somewhere here, so I'll look in the forum, too.


ps.3 When the materials are already transcribed it makes it SO MUCH EASIER to translate. Gee, I am glad. I wanna translate this move because I've actually never seen it. So I am also curious. But I bet it will take some time. I still have school and I am writing for one NGO in Poland and started my blog which also sucks up some time :D plus I need to keep sane, too and take of that one inside my tummy :)
edit: I found the definition in Global RBE GLossary. I am in the process of learning how the things are working in here. Now I am trying to engage Polish linguists to help me out with "extensionality" :)
